Added steampunk texture, alternate magazine name seemed to fit better with the whole style, something different and quirky, may make readers pick up out of curiosity at least. 

I also added a barcode, different to other products, bats fit with gothic look and its another nice detail to include

Textures

This texture is much more feminine, but perhaps too girly. 

Steampunk Texture, fits with the butterflies on the contents page, keeping well with the house style. Feminine touch, not too girly.

Putting some textures with the fonts to get an idea of how the cover will look.
Not particularly feminine, but I like the idea of the grungy texture.
